into the trees

we're saying goodbye to the spectacular forests of british columbia.

we've decided that moving straight into winter in ontario would be just too painful and scary, so we're now aiming for autumn to ease ourselves into the cold. it's going to be beautiful! the leaves will be all of the fiery shades of red and orange against the crisp blue sky.
i can't wait to experience seasons again!

out west there are essentially two seasons: "rain" and "not rain". so far, this year, there hasn't been much of the latter.
bummer-summer.
boo hoo hoo.

Oh crazy! I didn't know you guys were moving out east. What are your plans for out there? Hopefully we can hang before you move.

Oh good, CLOSER TO MEEEEE. So wait, you moved into a new place, then decided to move again? I miss you on the internets, lady.

tamera: i fell out of love with the internet. i miss all you guys, though :( the story of the move is actually super dumb! our last apartment sold and we were evicted. we were given the choice of taking the next available apartment in the building (which so happened to be only slightly longer than two weeks notice- AND we were given just overnight to decide) OR we could have the old place until august and most likely have to move out of the building (which at the time we didn't feel ready for). we opted for moving upstairs within two weeks and talked the landlady down to a six month lease because it was a $500 price jump for a smaller apartment and we didn't think it was a good fit for us. we gave away a room's worth of furniture at the last minute, paid a half month's rent for each apartment, paid the damage deposit for the new place, and prepared to pay another full month's rent in another two weeks. it added up to some insane number over $3000! which could have moved us to ontario. we each had nervous breakdowns over this, and thought about skipping out on the lease and just moving into my parent's place in ontario in the days before we were to move in (i should also mention that our place was no where near reno'd to the specs we were given, nor was the work done by our move-in date!) all signs were pointing to "RUN AWAY!!!!" but because we were just moving upstairs, nothing was packed properly so we just moved... one floor up. BUT the seed was planted and now we are definitely moving... AGAIN! see? i told you it was just dumb! i suppose it gave us some extra time to tie up all those loose ends, and say goodbye and all that crap. it's just kind of unfortunate that we're wasting so much money.
