emotional landscapes

i find myself dressing in a lot of greys and browns in the winter. i guess it's part of my urban camouflage. i found that when i moved to vancouver (almost nine years ago, now!) i began to gravitate away from bright colours and toward a more muted palate. it encompassed everything from clothing, to decor, to my painting palate. it took me a while to understand that my new environment was indeed informing my choices.
